Hello ppl! I would like you to help me build the BEST computer you can get. (not the most expensive). Thanks for your help
The best computer would probably be the most expensive. Just say best bang/$ computer, but we would need a price range... you can't just tell us to build a computer.
assuming you live in the states, i'm going to use newegg Antec Performance I P180B Black http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811129017 $110 NEC Black 16x DVD burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827152058 $30 ASUS P5N32-SLI SE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813131031 $220 Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819115003 $396 GIGABYTE GV-3D1-7950-RH Geforce 7950GX2 (2) $1074 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814125035 Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000KS 500GB $194 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822136014 SAMSUNG 205BW Black 20" 6ms $300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824001081 CORSAIR XMS2 2GB DDR2 800 (2) $540 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820145034 OCZ GameXStream 600W $130 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817341001 Logitech G7 097855033710 Black $68 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16826104209 Logitech G15 $68 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16823126179 something along the lines of that would be pretty sweet $3129 USD you can add more HD space or good water cooling system for 200 each
Are you kidding me? NO, the 7950GX2 is a rip. But two X1900XT and crossfire them. X1900XT That's the fastest card out there.
7950GX2 is not a rip, you may think it is becuase some of the CF setups beat it but its only becuase its on 4x AA/8x AF. The 7950GX2 was meant to used in XHD with max AA/AF and not lose any performance.
Te 7950GX2 is a RIP it's not worth the price at all you can get an x1900XT for a lot less that performs the same and better oc'd thats why NVIDIA shoulden't of made it. It won't last. X1900XT runs anything on high including oblivion and FEAR and with crossfire who knows what the 3d mark 06 score would be. GX2 is a Rip for the price.
good luck running it on that PSU... only thing that is officially approved to run quad SLI is PCP*Ps 1K PSU. also, that nf4 board is crap, if anythign wait until n590 because a 2 year old chipset like that doesn't cutt it, and benchmarks shwo it. you would be better off using a 975X or RD600 motherbaord and using hacked drivers than using nf4 and for the record, quad SLI is a waste, only thing is is good for is insane defintion and only the large 30 inch LCD monitors from apple and dell support it... and those monitors are kind of lagish and aren't really the best gaming monitors. I'd suggest two x1900XTs in crossfire based on the simple fact that they cost half as much, don't suck so much damn power and that it is pointless to spend so much when DX10 is just around the corner.
4x 1GB? Umm, are you going to pull DDR4 out of your ass or something? Just because he can afford it, doesn't mean he should get it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231065 Um, no, not 1x 500GB. Terrible bang/$. 2x 320GB == 640GB -- $160. Wow, less money, more space! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822148144 Monitor.. I would go with ViewSonic or Acer, both trusted brands by me. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824009087 my suggestions for case+psu: get a full tower, the space is nice to have for good wiring case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811133154 psu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817103932 somebody that feels like picking out a good water cooling kit and choose from here if they want-- http://www.frozencpu.com/scan/se=Water%20C...enu_search.html For the mouse, wait for Microsofts Intellimouse to return. It's going to be uber, I'll probably be getting one. Read more about it here.
