    OK.. here's the deal.

A guy posts a topic, which, he didnt realise was aaginst the rules. He then, realises after a member told him.

He changes his topic tittle/content so it doesnt break rules.

Moderators fine the member for breaking rules.

Member is -REP'd by other member, and in the -REP description, the other member doesnt explain himself.

Was the other member right to backseat mod, after the admins/Mod's had already dealt with the problem?

Yes, I agree that the REP system is there to give members more power... and would be used for members to punish members, after multiple offenses.

But the reason i made this topic, was because I saw the guy, who --Rep me, -REP a new member... and wrote something totaly random, concerning mokeys, and bannanas.
    I mean... WTF..

no, because you will get people takin -reps off for no reason, then the rep system is pointless

i may have misunderstood but thats my view

i also agree if you -rep sum1 you should give a firm and valid reason,
also after a mod dealt it they are still gettin -reps tose 1's should be removed

i agree with what you are sayin but it aint pratical

You should always provide valid reason for repping someone, and if it's been dealt with then I don't think they need more -reps...

    Erm, i thought we peaced?

And, you changed the topic title after i -repped you, there wasn't taken care of or something, why would there be a rep system if we can't use it for people that annoy us? Also, the message was: Monkeys don't like advertising bannanas.

If someone posts a topic where he advertises, and that is against the rules why would it not be permitted to -rep the guy? I don't care if it's a new member or an old member, advertising is advertising and breaking the rules is breaking the rules.

If the -rep was beffore the mod was there i dont se any problem with it, but if the -rep was there after that a whole different thing.

---Not about this topic (or maby)----
But also there shouldent be any of these things if all new (and also alot of old members) members should do as they were suposed to do and read the rules (all of them) beffore the start post..

Members whould have the right to neg rep someone for breaking the rules or annoying them. Even if the staff have dealt with it, it allows the member to take personal action against the offending member. If they don't want to be neg repped, they dont break the rules, simple as.

5 votes say that you were wrong to:

"to backseat mod, after the admins/Mod's had already dealt with the problem"
