ok so heres the thing , i have one ps2 black controller (the one that came in the box) and two other controllers which are both dualshock (not the black ones) , i allways need to use the black one to navigate in the main menu of the ps2 , and in some games i can only use the black one to play , recently i cut off the wire of the black one by accident and now i can only play certain games with my other controllers but i cant go to Browse or system config

so what i need to know is , what is the diffirence between these two? they are both dual shock and both are made for the PS2...
and why do i in certain games have to use two black ones to play with someone else

    thanks

Are they both plugged in at the same time because you usually need to use the one in the first port to even do stuff in games.

you mean dual shock controllers as in the grey ones for the original ps1? if thats what you are using with the ps2 then yes you are going to have problems. get some official sony dual shock ps2 controllers so you dont have any problems playing any game on the almighty ps2.

Just wait for the PS3 or go to a shop and buy a ps2 controller.
