Lol dude.. slavery was the main point. I actually study this stuff all the time i think i'd know. Hell i've even been to some of the places where one of the battles happened.
Okay, I don't want to hear what your books in school tell you. You have not studied it in depth or you would know how wrong you sound. Look BEFORE the battles began. Just because you've been the battle places means nothing, thousdands of people go to the battle sites every year and most of them can't tell you who the last five presidents were. The political war is just as important as the literal one.

Dude...seriously, it was not the main point. The north was fighting to keep their stability, they couldn't have cared less about slavery, it just made them look better to say they did. The North was fighting to preserve the union, the south was fighting for our state's rights. Slavery was a reason, but no where near the most important.
Lincoln cared about slavery retard. and that WAS the main point of the war so stfu.
