Pukkelpop is a big music festival in Kiewit, Belgium. It was the 21st edition of it and i could finally go from my parents. The ticket cost 57 euros ; thats about 70 dollars - 40 pounds. I didn't go for all 3 days, i only went for the last day, saturday. Bands : The Maple Room (Metalcore - Emocore) Good band, good music, awesome vocals. First 10 minutes were interrupted by a fight, i'm not quite sure what happend but it looked like someone was fighting the security and hitting other people.. The funny part was that the singer of the band wanted to punch the moron that was fighting ^_^ . After about 15 minutes my friend (Pieter - He actually is a member of this forum, his name here is Beast) Told me "I think we're going to be screwed so hard" and 15 seconds later we were both flying all over the place in a moshpit. The moshpit was violent but good. But it went downhill from there i'm afraid, the band were awesome, no doubt about it, but the freaks in the crowd were deranged and idiotic. All they did was make an empty circel in the middle of the crowd and starting ellbowing and ninja kicking everyone, fags. HIM Pretty good, don't like the music though. The singer has got a smoking problem, thats for sure. He smoked about 3 sigarettes in 1 minute. Arctic Monkeys BEST ACT EVER ! AWESOME ! FANTASTIC ! GREAT ! Not only was their music fantastic, the crowd was AWESOME ! Me and my friends were about 15 meters away from the stage at the beginning, but 20 minutes before the band got on stage, we got pushed and pushed all over the place. We must have moved about 60 meters back and forth. Then they came on. Everybody, and i mean everybody was jumping and moshing, we quicly lost track of each other and all started moshing our seperate ways.. Fantastic moshing, we didn't stop for over an hour, the whole time we were moshing and keeping up the crowdsurefers. The moshing was soo much fun, we kept meating eachother in the moshpits. But what you don't get to see when you're watching it on tv is how stuck you are.. I couldn't move untill the moshing started. Anyway, the last song . My friend pieter allready decided to go crowdsurfing and so we lost track of him. When the last song started i was thinking about it (crowdsurfing) but i wasn't really sure if i wanted to do it or not. So i did it , and it was absolutly fantastic ! I crowdsurfed about 70 meters back and forth what a fantastic feeling it is !!! Then security grabbed me out of the crowd and i got within 5 meters of Arctic Monkeys ! I had to rejoin the crowd from the back BUT, i asked 2 dudes to pull me up and i did a crowdsurf for about 15 meters.. Then some people decided NOT to push me further and i fell about 2.5 meters down on the ground. It hurt. Coheed And Cambria Good group, nice music, but at the end they did a 20 minute solo of guitars that was sooooo boring tbh. He played the guitar with his teeth, behind his head and like a violin. Pennywise Awesome. Non stop moshing (although i didn't join in on every song) and great music. Shame they didn't play victim of reality or fight till you die. Then, the last song, BRO HYMN ! This was awesome, i went into the moshpit and it was great ! we all were singing and moshing. Great ! ----------------------------- Summing up the day at pukkelpop isn't fun because i've left out so many stuff , but as you can all see, i enjoyed it very much ! Extra's : Bought a tshirt, got massive bruses and cuts (oh well ) Thanks for reading it !
The Artic Monkeys are a wee bit over rated, they are good but when everyone was making such a big deal over them I didn't think they were amazing and revolutionary. Pennywise I saw in concert once, theyre awesome live.
