OK, so basically for a while now I've been interested in learning Javascript. Unfortunatly, most of the places I've found were helpful in the least bit possible. For all those who know javascript, how did you learn? Can you suggest any good places to learn, or any good books perhaps?

www.w3schools.com I learned most of the coding I know from there [nooby PHP], but their stuff is really in depth.
I bought a book on it, but I also find http://www.javascriptkit.com/ to be helpful for little things that I need to look up. I'm by no means a javascript expert though
