I want to have a deep discussion about the different characters of Naruto...and which one of them is the best..... My vote goes to Naruto...even though he lacks great fighting skill his ingenuity and pure instinct make up for ehat he lacks...plus hes an all around good ninja and with that kinda drive how do you stop him from being Hokage!...Believe it!

I don't see how you could have picked Naruto really. In terms of Genins in the first arc I'd have to go with Neji. Yes he did lose to Naruto but he's a true genius and has great fighting abilities to boot as well.
Neji is a stuck-up asshole.. Naruto is ok, not my fav but he's pretty damned awesome at times. Sasuke is the biggest F'ing loser. Ever. Backstabbing piece of ----ty trash (if you only watch dubs then you won't know what I mean). Chouji is useless IMO Ino is...useless Sakura is ok, at least she becomes something awesome later on. Hinata does some cool things in the Shino-Kiba-Naruto find the bug arc.. Kakashi is cool Obito is pretty cool too but overall, my favorite is Gaara. Because he's so awesome.

If Naruto is such an ingenious ninja, why the hell does he wear orange? Not to bash or anything, but the reason I stopped watching this show was precisly becuase of Naruto.
