Comments and suggestions greately appreciated. I am new to this, but I can take criticism as long as you leave a suggestion of how to improve as well. Thanks

i like the side with all the different levels.

just work on the banner, it doesn't realy fit it. (i mean the bg, not the render)

I think the template is ok. it could use a bit of work. The nav buttons and font are a bit too big, also the Ghost Recon Render/character just doesnt fit. The colors make it stand out way too much , it just doesnt flow witht he layout. other than that keep it up and keep trying new things, its the only way to get better.

some friendly advice, where the nav button black lines are, add a 1px white line to the right of the line so they are touching, it will give your buttons a sense of depth rather than appearing flat. also shrink the text on the buttons as well. i really like the under-boxes on you content boxes... its a nice touch... of course this is my opinion only

    here is me commenting

the background of the banner doesnt make the banner fell like it fits in so if u could work on that

the render looks good as it is

the tag isnt very appealing but its just as an example right ?

and last the buttons could have more of a popup look insetad of a dull flat look

so if u can maybe go get a tut at pixel2life.com and go to photoshop -buttons and interfaces and get yourself a tut on a button you like and would match with the template i think u might have a hell of a template
    but hey thats just me

Don't use gradienteds in the text area of a text box, only on the header segment, also never use bevel in a logo, and overall not bad for a 2nd but these things need time, the more you spend the better you will get
