i got bored earlier and decided to design me a site http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b291/mon...site/layout.png i think it looks really good for my 3rd layout. plus i got it coded and everything so it works for my site rate and give c/c please?
smaller font size, tone down the orange, its really hard on the eyes, work on the navbar, try to section off the buttons rather than having them all in a straight line like that.. just my opinion anyways
Okay I could just say "start over" but then you would ask why and people would think I am mean... So here's why I would say that: 1)That light grey background woudn't work well with any layout 2)The navigation bar looks just a random line slapped on the BG, i know you tried to match colors but you just don't leave 1 line by itself for navigation... 3)Fonts suck.... All professional layouts have simple fonts and small text... there are exceptions but this is not one of them... 4)Unless a nearly blind person is reading it, the text doesn't have to be so big... 5)Bevel emboss on the text and logo... just NO. don't do it as it doesn't look good or professional. 6) The logo is just too plain and not original... The layout itself is way too simple and really boring... I don't really wanna look at it for more than 15 seconds at a time. I understand this is only your 3rd layout, but if you get honest critisism when you're just begining to design that will only make you a better designer and improve the quality of your layouts if you can just accept the critisism and use the suggestions...
