Anyone have an opinnion on it? Stuff like "lol" or "brb" or "Lmao" or stuff like that? it personally bugs me...I don't really know why. It's gotten to the point where people around me start SAYING it...not just online but in real life.....
I'm actually guilty of saying "lol" offline. It does really get annoying if people "lmao" in every second line.
I completely agree with you. (Obviously, because i started the thread.) But it really just gets on my nerves...
I only use "lol", "xD" and "OMG". It doesn't really bother me if other people use it, but when they can't spell ANYTHING then it becomes a problem.
My friends and I use internet lingo to bug people. In real life we'll be like, "Yo dawg! You a white arse cracka! jk, dawg, jk!"...haha, but we don't ever do it when we're being serious. I don't mind people saying, "Lol, omg, imo, rofl, lmao." Or any of them, but use them properly and use correct grammar and I'll be fine. Lol.
depends on how they say it. if they say it in a mocking kind of way. like hahaha oh em gee then fine, but if they are like omg in a series tone then that spells problems Rofl, lmao, lol, jk, brb, bbl, ect dont work in real life very well in mo opinion
its ok on aim. I think lol and omg are ok but i personally don't like it when over use jk. However, on a forum such as this i feel it is important to type out your words.
I don't like it when people surround every line with an abbreviation. Like "lol i cant believe you said that rofl". It pisses me off when people say "lol" in general but when they do stuff like that then I just wanna punch them...
I say lol all the time in real-life. But hey I like online lingo, it's better to type something small like brb than typing be right back.
I think that it's ok to both say and write regualar stuf like OMG. lol, wtf and stuff like that but it bugs me really much when they say stuff like lolzor.
