    CPU-Z, then go to the SPD tab.

    thanks :) but does the speed matter, because the ones I have now are showing up as 200MHz but the sticks i want to get are 400MHz?

    200mhz is DDR400. The speed is 200mhz, but DDR means Double Data Rate, so that's why it's DDR400. Some people say its 200mhz, some say it's 400mhz. Just look for DDR400/PC-3200.

    But be sure ur motherboard supports that kinda RAM !!!

    If his motherboard doesn't support DDR400, then it will throttle it down to what it doess support, but most motherboards bought within the past 3-4 years support DDR400

    if u want ddr 2 ram and ur mb doesnt support it go for a s939 and upgrade ur cpu really cheap

    then u can hav up to 8GB ram on most MB

    Before you post, get your facts straight. socket 939 supports DDR RAM, whereas socket AM2 and socket 775 support DDR2 RAM. Also, most motherboards support 4GB of RAM, although some higher end boards support 8GB of RAm, although windows xp can only address 4GB of RAM, so to fully utilise it you would need windows xp x64 edition or windows vista.
