What are your views on self mutilation? Such as Drugs, Cutting your wrists, etc... Personally i think it's stupid and senseless.....It's just immature.
I don't see a point in cutting yourself or hurting yourself other than trying to get attention. As for drugs. well I wouldn't really call that self mutilation unless your a crack or heroine addict. If you smoke weed/hash it's not exactly self mutilation, that's like saying smoking cigarettes is self mutilation. Sure, it's bad for you but not too that extent..

So, is this thread supposed to be discussion about self-mutilation or making fun of "emo" kids and crap? Grow the hell up. Emo stands for emotional, so labeling a group of people that is entirely senseless and ignorant in it's own right. People who decide to dress like that are allowed to. It's like a white kid dressing black or someone going goth. That's their choice in life and that's the path they want to lead. Back off of them and let them live their life without being made fun of. For whatever immature kid was going to accuse me of being "emo" or anything, I'm not so don't bother. A friend of mine started cutting about a year ago, and it's not just something someone can stop doing or just chooses to do for attention all the time. Self-mutilation is a serious problem, whether you think it's stupid or not. Personally, I don't see the point in it at all but I've come to realize over the past year that it isn't something you should look past or make fun of. Usually if someone decides to resort to that, that's their last choice of action because everything else they've tried didn't work to help them through whatever it is they're going through. A majority of the time, those kids don't want to seem weak to those they know by going to get the help they need so they try finding alternatives. At the same time, it's not always going to be someone you may label as emo. For instance, my friend was a prep or whatever you want to call it. And I just completely lost my train of thought, I might wrap this up later.
