Indeed learn c++, I'm also busy with that.
You can find many books for beginners in a bookshop or sth...
But be sure u begin with the begin! It's to difficult to start in the middle or sth...
    Good luck

If you odn't want to learn a language, I would suggest a program called Game Maker.

Just google it and find their site. very easy to use and you can download tutorials with all the sprites and instructions. Then you can start making your own games! Also check out their forums and see what other people have made.

Or if you don't really care about the graphical aspect of it, check out rpg maker 2003, or rpg maker xp. Both are very easy to use.

Start with C++ and then move to Java. Java is like C++ on steroids.
