    Hi all,

I've spent about two hours working on this. It's another great feat for me to have accomplished this, another personal goal. While it's not as good as Mr. Cheeky's or neptun3's, it is another accomplishment for me.

    Constructive Criticism Only, Please!

Bevels are a BIG "NO" never ever ever use bevels like that...never...ever.

    It's okay though, 6/10.

Yer, sorry, you need to put alot more work into that.

I think maybe you have the wrong shade of orange, bit too bright, it doesn't go too well with grey.

    :D

    Thanks everyone for your C&C.

Then how do I make the navbar and newsbar stand up above the rest, without bevels?

Just use inner shadows and inner glows.

That just something really quick, but just saying you dont need bevels. :D

Thats better, but maybe lower the opacity on it.

It's better if you make the inner glow black and the inner shadow white.

Then change the blending modes to normal.

DethHydra, thanks. You've earned a rep for your help.

I can move the header to the left and put the ad in the upper right. They're both seperate layers.

The updated one is much better, The shade of orange is way too bright, darken it down a little like some other said, take the stroke down on the nav bar buttons to maybe a 1pixel stroke and same with the content box, For the bevel problem, you could also add a Drop Shadow as it looks like it's standing above the rest, and lower the opacity of the inner glow. 6.5/10 from me though.

I think you really need to change the colors...the orange looks very...well...noobish (no offense.) You might want to try a metallic cyan or cyan-blue to fit in with the grey. It'll make it look alot better, I think. ;)

I like simple, but that just doesn't do justice to the awesomeness of HL2.
