Okay I know there are a lot of people who like the Fast and Furious Series, the Need for speed series, and all the Car tuning games such as Juiced. But considering how much attention the Car mod industry is getting do you think it's worth putting say

    -1.5 grand=body kit
    -2 grand=turbo kit
    -$200=spoiler

Decals, Exhaust kits, Nitrous, custom vinyls/paintjobs, custom hoods ect.

Is all this worth getting into a car? When are you actually going to use all that extra horse power from a turbo kit? When are you actually going to push that button to get a massive boost in your car's torque and speed. When does all this happen? What race on a track? Most people wouldn't race on a track that they could risk a beautiful body kit they've put on.

Anyway Discuss wat you think about Modding out your cars and what use would they be

Final note about me: Yes I'm reserving my opinion right now, i am a Car tuning enthusiast and i plan to get a car and tune it out probably a supra, but if not then rx-8 will fit fine

well u cant just throw a turbo on any car for most cars theres alot of little but expensive thing u have to get a turbo or else all that boost will kill your engine and all those prices vary u can get body kits for as low as like 600 bucks and turbos usually start at around 2gs and i think its all worth putting into your car if you like your car and once i get older i want 2 get an rx-7 and trick it out

Its only worth it if its for performance and it makes a noticeable difference.

personally, i think it's a waste unless you have good taste. it looks so weird when ppl put multi colored body kits, ugly stickers, and huge spoiler wings on their cars. i would rather just get some nice rims and a new paint job.

    its worth it if you
    a: race it
    b: take it to shows
c: you have money to burn

otherwise no, because its only to look cool and when you do it up you look loike a twat when u drive it. its also a waste of money imagine....

'you are driving to your girlfriends house, you are in the dark and you are on rural roads. You now go a tad too fast round a corner and hit a tractor'

then your car is worthless and dont look so good.

true i know wat you are getting at. Some cars don't have turbo kits/supercharges, but its more of a toss out. Example people who have civics. Obviously everyone knows a civic isnt built around power nor the most elegant, but the question is does even 2 grand make all the time effort and extra power seem worth it?

and when i say a 1.5k body kit i'm talkin more along veilside depending if you are an enthusiast and want veilside.

For all those who said no. Isn't that little xtra speed worth it? Says some idiot wants to pull up set the car in neutral and rev. Wat do you say? Nah i dont wana race? Most people around ages 17 to probably late 20s would say Fu** no i'ma smoke this guy.

    Any other thoughts?

Some do it for the experience of tunning itself...Some do it for racing , because they need money and a better car... But mostly all looks, all colors , nice rims and stuff, that's for other people... So you can feel good when other people look at you and your car. It's because people do anything for attention and to be popular... So they can boast about their car and others can compliment it. It's the same with a lot of other stuff in life like clothing and make up.. I'm not gonna deny it, I am no exception...

i defently think its worth it. but to an extent. if you buy a car that has like 180 horse power, stock, and then you buy a bunch of engine upgrades, turbo, nitro, intercoolers, etc..., and jack your horse power up to like 500. thats just stupid.. and myself, i own a Scion Tc, flat black. and i have body kit, Exhaust kits, and a carbin fiber hood. and a spoiler, and a stage 2 turbo, and i also have the suspention lowered. buts thats all im ever gonna do to it... cuz everything i getting expencive. and yeah, its my everyday car that i drive to and from work, but i also take it to car shows. (sometimes)

i would just spend alittle on a new paint job, rims and maybe a discrete spoiler. Especially if you don't plan on racing

Hmm, since im never going to race my car then im not gonna spent money tuning it, but i might get a front lip, some new and low suspension, defenitly a new exhaust system to make a great sound, and some nice not flashy rims. But thats it for me. Personally i think tuning cars are great, i love the sound, the personality you give the car and the way people are using their cars to express themselves. I just think alot of people are stupid and careless about their cars.

adds value to the car... HP wise you will always be behind the times because cars coming out now have tons of it . You can only put so much money into a car and then up it saying damn i could of bought that car for this.
