1.Click on "Start", then "Run.." and type "regedit". 2.Navigate to the registry key: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop". 3.Once there, locate the DWORD value "PaintDesktopVersion". 4.Right click on it and select Modify. -Value equal to "0" removes Windows version from desktop. -Value equal to "1" adds Windows version to desktop. 5.Reboot your computer. If you don't have "PaintDestopVersion" then you can right click and add new DWORD value "PaintDestopVersion" then follow the steps. MAKE SURE YOU ADD IT IN "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop". PaintDesktopVersion REG_DWORD 0x00000001 (1) = on PaintDesktopVersion REG_DWORD 0x00000000 (0) = off
