Deviantart Copyrights?

    Alright Well Im Desigin A Couple of shirts that my friend will sell on the net, and other places [ dont know much about it yet ] ,. and on one of the design's i used some brushes off deviantart.com , i dont wanna get sued over some stupid brushes... so im wondering if i use the brushes and print them out and sell the shirts would i get in any trouble ?? :unsure:

    Its possible that you could be sued for money the brush maker lost on his creation, depends on what rights they(the author) gave people who downloaded the brushes and deviantArt's policy on such things.

    If the brush maker gave them out with no warning otherwise, feel free to use them.

    i agree... if the author was just giving out free brushes (like most do) you can get in trouble...... anyways... i doubt the authors of the brushes will ever see your shirts...... i mean... let's say one of them saw the shirt.... i doubt they'd be able to recognize their brushes work....

    Check if the person said comercial usage is allowed. Or note the person for permission.

    if you still remember who made the brushes then i REALLY suggest you messaging them and asking for permission. compliment their brushes and say how nice they are and that you really want to use them. that should get the job done.

    or just make your own brushes and dont worry about that prob.

    That's what I would do. Whoever the brushmaker was, ask for permission and let him know what you are doing with his/her work before you use it.

    If they stated that its non-commercial useage only, yes it is.

    Thats a good question, most of the time they don't state that which is why you need to inquire it from them.

    maybe you could find the maker of the brush and asked about it ?
