i need to convert an .avi into a file that will play on my home dvd player <_< does any1 kno any programs?
ive just converted my .avi into a dvd, but its still an .avi.. is this rite? or has it put the dvd file somewhere else?
hmm, where did yu extracted to when yu conmvert it, or try to use winMPG, its a trial but works great.
You'll probably gonne be disapointed by the programs, as most converters like this have a trial period that only allows a certain amount of time to convert. I think Boilsoft has some Dvd converter, use google.
With winAVI make sure you click on convert to dvd. Set up a file on your desktop named DVD then make the path to that folder. You will get numerous dvd files which are then burnt onto disc with your burning program. For Eg. Nero. Pm me if you have any troubles.
any good converters will cost $$$ I use this http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ it works great. Also what type of DVD are you using DVD-R or DVD+R? Most DVD players support DVD-R
So with any AVI file or anything you download you cannot just burn to dvd?? thats were im going wrong
http://www.videohelp.com/dvd scroll down to the section video file comparision. it shows which files will play in DVD players with MPEG1 and MPEG2 being the best choice to burn to DVD.
