Levi Strauss announced their partnership with Apple at the beginning of the year, and I've been anxiously awaiting the end result of the so-called Levi's Redwire DLX Jeans. And the wait is over.

Gizmodo found some pictures of the carpenter-style jeans over at a Dutch site that shows more images of this iJean hideousness that's about to appear stateside.

I was under the impression that some people prefer their Levi's skintight (did this trend die back in the 80s?), so I don't know why Levi's decided to integrate a built-in docking cradle, a joystick, and retractable headphones into these jeans.

As you can see from the image above, the small pocket has a clickwheel to control the iPod. A long red ribbon attached to the inside of a pocket, seems to work as a bungi chord to prevent accidental iPod drops to the floor, and that retractable earphone piece is way too bulky to work for me.

Overall, the idea was poorly executed. Way too confusing, and way too many pockets. I believe we'll hear a lot of complaining from kids who forgot to take the iPod out of their jeans before washing them.

    "Moooommmmmm, you washed my iPod!"

One more thing....the jeans will cost you about $200. Not a good deal, especially when you run the risk of ruining a perfect iPod player in the wash, not to mention you'll also look way too iPodified.

What do you think? Would you ever be caught dead in these?

what an ugly pair of jeans!

If they were washed wouldnt the headphones and ---- get messed up too..?

Edit: For $200 thats a rip, I'd rather just use a normal good looking pair of pants that cost $40 than buy those. Just another reason for snobby rich spoiled kids to get, once again, something they dont deserve or arent thankful for. IMO these jeans are retarded.

Wait people actually care about what kind of pants they wear? Wow.

I usually put my ipod in a hoodie and rip a tiny hole in the pocket and run the wires through my shirt...now thats ghetto.
