Cables

    CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG ON THE USES FOR THESE CABLES

    PSU - ? (PSU is the main power source? :huh: )

    [​IMG]
    PSU - Motherboard?

    [​IMG]
    PSU - CD/DVD Drives?

    [​IMG]
    PSU - Floppy Drives?

    [​IMG]
    PSU - Video/Sound Cards?

    [​IMG]
    PSU - ? (No idea)

    Um, the 4-pins are for cd/dvd and hard drive power.

    the 4-pin minis are also used to give older AGP models extra power to the gfx card.

    SATA goes to the SATA hard drives.

    20 pin power cord goes to the motherboard. usually it would have a 20pin, + another 4-pin. Pentium 4 based systems in the extra 4-pin.

    actually any motehrboard which is ATX 2.0 based uses 24 pin, it is by motherboard, not CPU... I am currently using a board with a 24 pin connector...

    using a 20pin connector because I'm lazy... I'll see if it explodes later, only thing I think it does is make my system somewhat instable, so I'm ok with that(it's my backup system anyway)

    oh. w/e. thats what i thought. im on a pentium d (4) and i have a 20pin + 4pin.

    I checked, the motherboard I'm gonna be getting needs 24-pin.
