"yanks" is not only racist, but an ignorant statement. We are not yanks, and I do know the diffrence between Great Britain, and England. The North was called Yanks by the South in a civil war, I don't know why you refer to us all as yanks, but the south are not yanks, I'm not a damned yank....>_<...stop being Racist, the American school system ranks higher then England's, so please don't imply you are way smarter then us.

Exactly, the term 'yanks' is derogitory in nature, whether it was intended to be or not, it is just as bad as words like '******' and 'rag head' as being said from a white ehtnicity. How something is intended is nothing, its how it is percieved that matters. Why is it that people from other countries and other ethnicities can be racists towards Americans/white people in general, but when we are racist in return we virtually get slapped. Not only are racists terms rude and ignorant, but also show/prove that even by you resulting to the name calling of those races and countries you are of lower intellegence and otherwise incapable of understanding other ethnicities beliefs and standards as they are not your own.
That's a moronic statment.... If a black dude walks up to his friends and says, "What's up n****r?" no one cares, because he is at the same level. I can call anyone in the US a yank, if I wished, and it would be fine. However I don't appreciate other countries looking down on us calling us Yanks.
