SIERRA ANNOUNCES F.E.A.R. COMBAT

F.E.A.R. Multiplayer to be made available for free.

LOS ANGELES, CA – (August 8th, 2006) – Sierra Entertainment today announced that the multiplayer component from the award winning PC title F.E.A.R.™(First Encounter Assault Recon), has been renamed F.E.A.R. Combat, and will be made available to the public as a free download on Thursday August 17th, 2006.

F.E.A.R. Combat is the complete multiplayer component of F.E.A.R. and includes all the updates, additional official maps and additional official game modes all in one downloadable file. F.E.A.R. Combat users will be able to play against the owners of the retail version of F.E.A.R. as well as the other F.E.A.R. Combat users.

F.E.A.R. Combat features:

- 10 Multiplayer Game modes.
- 19 Multiplayer Maps.
- 12 different weapons.
- Punkbuster support for anti cheat support.
- The capability to download user generated content.

To play F.E.A.R. Combat, consumers simply go to www.joinfear.com and register to obtain their free, Combat keycode. When the file is made available for download on Aug 17th 2006, consumers can install, enter their keycode, and get ready to join F.E.A.R. Combat!

WOOHOOO. Everyone gets to play the full multiplayer section of the full version of F.E.A.R. I always wanted to play this game, and now they release the FULL multiplayer section of F.E.A.R.

plus we get 3 more weapons and 3 more maps

I loved FEAR, but, the multiplayer wasn't my style. Still good though.

And I don't think it's coming out on 360.

PunkBuster isnt hard to get past with codes. but yea i guess this could be a alright game.

 

it actually is extremely hard to get past punkbuster. PB takes a clear screenshot of ur whole computer and looks for any suspicious codes/hacks that are applied to the current game u are playing. if u ever play the fear multiplayer demo, the only reason every1 uses speed hacks is because none of the demo servers run punkbuster.

 

LOL! Punkbusters isnt what ppl want it to be. Its actually very easy to bypass. You just need the right codes To be honest there is currently NO antihacking software that actually works 100% against everything. Sorry to break your faith in antihacking.

fear was an amazing game i enjoyed playin it and it has hella good graphics

 

F.E.A.R.'s multiplayer looks awesome on the videos I've seen, and being offered for free without owning F.E.A.R. is even better. However, the issue is obvious: Can I run it? That's the major problem.

 

Please dont be the next snipe and sign all your damn posts.


This is about the game folks, not ----ing punkbuster so shut the ---- up about bypassing it.

This is really cool, but couldnt they of done this BEFORE I bough the damn game just for the multiplayer.
