Im not sure if other people experience this but when posting a new auction, certain people get more views and replys than others. Over the past few days i set up some auctions and i find that only a small number of people view, i feel people look at the name and go "wow he is good, lemme look" and comment and others like "hmm, dont know him" or "his works shiat, i wont bother"

Was just wonder if any other people notice this?

I know my work in the auctions is not great, but still, a look does not hurt :)

if it just says New Sig then no one will look unless your name rings a bell. most people look at the name and if it says Pro or Semi-Pro thing like that.

real life auctions would be cool, most people are turstworthy so you know you are going to get what you paid for

also with the auction, i tried putting semi-pro.. no views, i even done a half price psd blow out, still no comments/views... was kinda gutted as that post took me like 30 mins to do :P

People do look according to reputation and everything. It's just like real life, people know big-name companies so they're more inclined to buy or look at something from those companies compared to smaller ones.

I do not quite get what you are getting it.

It is human nature to go for what YOU think is "better". This in theory can be proven quite easily.. You see a post by "zomgimproatSigs".. and no matter what it says, what topic title is, if you see a thread by Llamaman, Shaggy, Big_Dave, BFTP, HydrogeN, entitled "." Are you not going to click that first?

It's about reputation and ego. When say, Lennox posts something, you know that he has sold very good quality stuff before. So you naturally look at it.

Now if some new guy you have never seen sell good stuff before posts something, you won't bother. Even if he is awsome.

It takes time for you to get known. Unless your just THAT good.

I know what you mean man, either I get tons of views and zero comments, or just no views and no comments. I mean just cause I am new and not known doesnt mean I am horrible and it doesnt make me untrustworthy..But what can I do?

I just hope people would atleast comment, they all look but never say a thing...

Well i personally dont look at how much rep or the name of the artist, a good design is a good design. I find it a shame that a majority of people overlook some great work.

I normally only look at the top threads, or known people, but I'm not in there much for sigs.
