So, currently, i am running on this.
It does well with photoshop and all, but on games like quake 4, and even somtimes on Command and Conquer generals Zero: Hour, it lags, even craps out. And on quake 4 with med settings i only get 10-15 fps.

I have a wireless keyboard and usb mouse, all are bargain bin logitech and hp crap.
    I have a 17" flatpanel screen.
I have 5.1 surround sound with 2 treb 2 mid 1 sub for sound, it performs awesome with my 1500 songs :)

But see heres the thing, i heard of people busting loads over Intel's new Dou Core processor, and how good IS it? Im thinking of utting this in the next comp i get.

I'm no dumbass, i am a mechanic and am studying engineering, but im not sure if i can build a comp on my own, how hard is it?

    Oh, and 2 more things,
    a. my price limit is 800~
    b. i have 256 mb ram that i added in my m1195c so i have 1 gig

    Thanks!

ahh didnt read all of it ok but here building a computer is easy but u need a genuine windows xp cd of ur own to install the software

u need have a case, powersupply, motherboard, videocard, harddrive, cd drive, proccessor, cpu fan, ram, thast about it i think.. but hwen u buy the parts it gives u instructions on how to install but i would tell u go with an AMD proccesor instead of intel they r better for gaming sumhow

your ram from your old computer needs to be compatable with a new mother board... your mother board needs to be compatable with the intell conroe

what type of ram do you have?

you can get lynksys os but some people dont like it if you want xp you will need to get another 100$ or take 100$ out of ur total spending price

    There is never alienware.

about the new intel duo core..ive HEARD that they are about 50-60% better than anything out there, which i dont believe one bit, I would go with an amd dual core. if ur looking to build a computer, 800$ is a tight budget to work with, it would be better to upgrade on that amount. I bought a CPU and a mobo for 500$, and that would leave me with 300 left. My suggestion would be to build this overtime that way u can save more money, get better parts and what you want instead of getting it all now for something that may not even be a satisfactory computer ( which is what mine pretty much is). As for alienware - there is no way ur getting a computer from their at that price. As good as their stuff is, it dont come cheap.

50 - 60% better than ANYTHING? dont make me chuckle, try around 17% better than the AMD`s FX64 x2, and yes. building your own pc is easy, its logical, only certain things can fir in certain places :P
