I was wondering what I need to do to create a forum like the one set up here. By this I mean I want the games, rep, credits, shop, etc. for my clan. I am fine with only the forums like this site has, so I'm not talking about a full blown website. I will be using a .tk URL. I don't really want to spend anymoney, so some free hosting links would be good too. So my question is, can anyone tell me what I need to get started on making a forum just like this one? Thanks alot!
dude, buy ipb. download mods @ www.invisionize.com and use a different domain cause .tk's won't work well with forums
Let me help mcfcake by breaking it down to an even simpler form. No Money = No games, rep, credits, shop, etc. for your clan. No Money = A ----ty invisionfree forum, or some other free forum host that does not allow you to install mods of any kind let alone those large ones. Lastly, No Money = A Forum for your clan that sucks balls. Glad to be of service.
No money = Poor person.. If you care about the clan so much, you would expect to chip in some money.. Trust me, making a .tk will ruin it. Once people go to your homepage, they will exit your site cause they know you brought everything cheap or free or in other words Cheap or Free = Dumb site
Its so easy lolz, what you basically do right, is you buy a peice of the internet and download a "forumware" to your computer, then you sell the forum ware to the "internetwizard" and he creates some internet for you.
I was looking around and found this site: http://www.siteground.com/clan-hosting.htm It sounds like a really good deal (I'll be getting the 1 year plan for free installing, I hate doing that stuff). I don't know which type I'll pick, but I'm leaning towards phpNuke. Can anyone tell me which one I should go for? And with phpnuke, can I make the forums like this?
