Well, this template has a total of 2 images on it excluding the smilies in the news which is not very common around here :P. It's my personal site. I made it using only code, not in photoshop.

I have to warn Opera users, though, it looks horrible in that browser :(.

    Anyway http://xero.elpea.net/.

The banner looks yucky, I know, grunge and techno never go together.

also: a sneak peek of my next project :). http://xero.elpea.net/2/. I know the banner isn't mine, it's just a filler for the time being ;), I'm not a ripper

Was a bit 'afraid' on what I might find there considering you said you did it by coding only but I'm pleasantly suprised.
Looks really good and clean, great job on it :)

Slice it, save it as table, then remove the content slice and replace with iFrame.

Its not a very good way to make a website, because of the tables, but its easy for beginners.

    Thanks for the comments!

Well, in regard to the comments on the orange ball: I needed a symbol, I am planning on changing it today, if possible.

Also, I use no tables, tables are the devil. They take up bandwidth, are a pain to edit in the HTML and most of all: it's a primitive way to design.

I personally use CSS and php. CSS is much more efficient and soo much more easy to use and edit. THe only downside is Internet Explorer. It isn't up to standard compliance, it doesn't support some of the most used CSS declaration ever, such as ":hover" and ":active" on objects other than links, selectors, and the biggie, "position: fixed;", it also has many floating issues floating issues.

I got lucky with the orange one. I used a design that was so simple that IE couldn't screw it up if it wanted to.

Also, if any of you want, me and my buddy Fluffy (whoops, I usedHTML instead of BBcode :P, that must mean I have been coding too much) are making a co op template site where you can get custom templates made by ourselves. If you're interested that it is ;)

Edit: The banner is changed. But, for those that use Firefox, try clicking on the banner :D, and little treat, but for those with IE, don't try, IE doesn't support :focus on elements, just like hovers :P
