Money IS happiness. Moneys the issue behind everything... Friends, families, peers, break up due to money issues sometimes. People always stress over money... People go to the extreme to make money. Therefore, money = happiness.

It's a shallow thought indeed but the way the world is, money is the 1 thing dominating most of our attempts to live, we all want to be rich. G.R credits are a good example of this, there's not many people here who are happy with whatever credits they have, they want more credits to buy more things... I'd not saying money is happiness but it's definately a factor in happiness.
It depends on you're definition of happiness. If it's being financially secure, of course you'll be happy. However, if you want to raise a family, chances are you won't get that family with money alone.
