    Anyone else into breakdancing?

I just started a few months ago and thought i'd just toss this out.

Currently i'm working on my Swipes and they arent looking to bad, but i cant get my body to twist properly to make it look really good that and my legs always curl a bit while i do it.

Just talk about breaking if you are into it

I like it, it's pretty stylish but I'm hopeless at any of the spins/flares etc. I can dance, just not do alot of those jumps and on the floor moves.

I did like 3 rotations on my head once, and that's as far as I got haha.

I actually much prefer Parkou, and Free running and I'm trying to learn that at the moment.

I go to this gym where there's a team of breakdancer's that rent a certain room to practice.. they're good. I've learned a bit from them. It's interesting watching them bust..

That's IMO the best thing about Break Dancing and that whole community/life watching other people, learning from other people etc.

Exactly. I sit on the declined bench press for like 20 mins benching watching them.. I forget i'm lifting.. That's good though. :D

They do some crazy shlt. I even saw a Break-Dancing crew that added "Parkour Free-Running" to their routine.. It was amazing. One day I'll walk in there n practice with them.. haha.

i pretty much learned from my friends tho i used a few vids to get a basis. Most moves of breakdancing are always manipulated to their own body form.

I heard about Parkour free running, but i think its similar to "Tricking" But thats a different topic.

There are a lot of simple moves for some to pick up. Like 2 step, 3 step and 6 step. I think when most people think of breakdancing it revolves around headspins windmills and backflips, but people often get the wrong impression anyone agree?

I can do backflips on the ground from standstill, with or without hands it dont matter, and like roundoff backflips too, but thats from when i used to do gymnastics in like year 5 xD how feminine is that!

I can do that move where you start spinning around on your shoulders with your legs sticking out, sorry i dont know what its called, for about 10 seconds or so, like i spin 5 times maybe?

But i havent ever seen a breakdancer in real life coz im an AUSSIE, lawl.

If you've ever seen Rush Hour and Jackie Chan is trying to do the little head-sway move, that about sums up my dancing skills. I'm really stiff and the smooth movements of breakdancing don't mesh well with me, but I LOVE watching it, seriously some of those moves just defy gravity.
