I'd say ds. just some games are good some are bad.

    good

    nintendogs
    mario Kart
    animal crossing
    brain age
    mario bros

just make sure to look up the game before you buy it

    DS ftw

PSP is nice, but there just so little use game-wise. I've seen a few games like Burnout, street fighter alpha, lumines. But they just didnt hold for me. For a portable i'd rather have the feel of the old times when side scrollers owned and it was about how to innovate things not the graphics.

PSP does have mp3 player, umd movies, and things like that, but it only can go so far. considering movies are near pointless as a portable unless you are a movie freak. I'd rather watch a movie with a sound system that doesnt have me using headphones or putting my ear to the screen to hear.

MP3 is still nice i dont dis that and prolly will never.

If you are after affordability go with DS PSP is still running a tad high in my mind unless you are also after an mp3 player and dont have one yet.

It depends really. If you want it for gaming, get the DS/lite. If you're wanting an MP3 player/etc. instead, get a PSP. It comes down to whatever you prefer.

Ahh. If I was in your situation I'd get a DS/lite, simply because I have one right now and have no complaints. I don't have a PSP, though I have played one. Didn't impress me much.

It all depends on what kind of games you like now.
