    if you have the money, go for it. there aren't many 40gb hard drives, though there are like 80 gb for $40.

    it would save more money to buy one 250GB for around $60-$70 and partition, though.

    get a single 320GB harddrive for less$$$ you get greater capacity at a lower cost.
