I want the best i can get for that price range so.. thanks in advance and PLEASE do not recommend me making my own because i have no idea how to fix a computer together OR do not recommend to me a dell because this is a dell and i wll never buy from them again thx, -curious
I don't care if you don't think you can build it, you can. You plug the cords into the only sensible slots they can go into; you put the motherboard in the chassis the only way it can fit; you put the graphics card into the motherboard the only way it can. It's common sense on putting everything together. So is installing Windows, drivers, games, etc. So I am going to suggest building on, as it will give you a great computer ($1500 is plenty of money for a great computer.) Trust me, you will hate yourself if you don't build a custom.
He does not need to get an 7950GX2 it's a total rip off. He should either get a 7900GT or x1900XT The 7900GT is cheaper and would max out everything right now so you really woulden't notice a diffrence in performance. And if he's going to get a core 2 duo why shoulden't he just wait untill dx10 cards. But I suspect they will be buggy at first and so will DX10. So you should with this 7900GT
@ johndapunk trust me i am a moron, i got more ram for this computer and i had it out for a month because a i had no idea how to open the case and b because i was afraid to get electricuted.... also i have no idea what drivers are what so i would probably not even be able to get the computer working properly. i have had absolutly no experience with computers..
That's why we are here. BTK, the x1800xt is nearly as good as the 7900gt, and is a little bit cheaper. But i guess the 7900gt is better for him because he won't be overclocking.
If you are going to say that, dont suggest a 230 dollar graphics card. If he would do that an X800GTO or the PCI 6200 would do fine. BTW curious, you dont need to know what drivers are you just throw the CDs into the computer.
Jimbo, I didn't put together that build with the thought of him upgrading for dx-10. I made that build for him to keep. But if he were to upgrade, then yes, the x800gto would be fine.
Haha... stupid boy. Just go to ibuypower.com if u want premades. THere's another good site I cant think of also... Much better than alienware.
Ahah, don't get Alienware the pc's are decent but WAY overpriced. Just get some conroe machine with SLI 7900GTX!
