Wait, your english is like... scrambled into unknown words. Are you trying to connect to your other computer via a router, or directly connected via an ethernet cord?

If you are trying to connect a computer to a computer via patch Cat5 cable then ofcourse it will not work. You need a standard crossover Cat5 cable. Go look for them in a networking section, you will see what I mean.

When you have a cable to a Computer to Router/Modem you have a set of colors... [IMG] and that allows the RJ45 to connect straight through the wire and be turned around on each end by the connector.

When you have a Computer to Computer connection you need the cable to obviously crossover.. because you need them to go into the RJ45 socket on each end differently to transfer the data to the same pins [IMG]

The final view is the difference between the two...:

yeah if your cables are like akw's it should work... if it doesnt, you have a firewall blocking it or need a router

I think you can share files when you right click on them and one of them will say " sharing and security "

Under Network Sharing and Security, check the box that says "Share this folder on the network".

Tho it only works when you have the other comp on.. or thats what I had to do to share the files.
