Ok i have a laptop but when i unplug the power the laptop doesn't seem to last very long before going off, as laptops are portable.

Also it seems to run slow and theres nothing on the PC.

Thanks in advance to any helpers.

    Hmm?
Well as it's a Laptop it probally has very little RAM. Which is probally why it's running slow, with little ram opening applications etc will be slow compared to a computer/laptop with a good amount of ram. As for the battery not lasting long, it maybe because the battery is worn and tired and therefor doesn't have the length of life it would have as a new laptop, it may also be because it's just an old battery with older technology, therefor no matter how worn would only last a little time anyway. Also, it's worth just scanning the computer over with some good and free virus scanners such as :-

    AVG Free
    Ewido
    Ad-Aware SE Personal
    Spybot

    Good luck!

How old is the battery is probably a better question.

Batteries lose their ability to hold a charge after a while, so you may be in for a new battery.

It would really be nice to know your system specs, so we can see if it really is too little memory, or perhaps other programs just bogging down your OS.

if it has a Pentium 4 or Celeron D in it, there is nothing you can do.

    batteryis likely culrprit if not.

other than that, list the specs.

laptops have just as much RAM as any normal desktop. any new laptop today comes with at least 1gb.
