Question 1 Hey, when i start up computer, It comes to a screen were you choose OS (Didn't Used to) Theres The Normal Windows XP and Operating System for testing New boot screen Its really annoying, ive tryed it and its still the same boot screen, Soo, How do i get rid of it? Question 2 Also, another prob, When i start safe mode to do a virus scan, It does all the big black page of writing, then my screen just comes with a message saying something like VGA mode not supported. This monitors better and new than my old one but, it dont work, could ya help please? Question 3 Could you tell me the best Firewall there is, The price isnt a problem.. (Ive tryed the search button before i get a noob trying to tell me that, All there is, is 6 threads, 2 i cant under stand, 1 about windows firewall, 1 bout how t turn it on, and rest for free ones)
doesn't sound like anything to do with a firewall, maybe a graphics update might do the trick, and if its a TFT try using the dvi leads instead of the d-sub leads if your card supports it
off the top of my head... right click my computer>>properties>> then go to the advanced tab(not using windows XP i might be slightly off) and look aroundshould eb a thing which notes two OSes, look for an edit option or something like that, set delay to 0 and edit out the line on that which you don't want. Save the file; be careful not to fvck up(it's hard to if you use common sense though) sounds like driverwise the monitor isn't supported, might be wrong kinda tired... best firewall is a hardware firewall... do some research, I don't even really f' with firewals myself
Thanks Kk i fixed the boot screen Does that mean if i get latest drive for my Monitor, it might work?
kk Thanks That leave me left with, Witch firewall is the best, Prices dont matter, i just need to know some of the best ones
Kerio Personal Firewall (now sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall) Is a good one thats pretty light on resources, People also say Zonealarm is good (although I detest it)
erm windows firewall I used to use AVG firewall, but then I got a new PC and I started again with all my programs
I used zonealarm free, but I upgraded to zonealarm pro. It does its job, and my only complaint is the number of times it asks you to allow programs to access the internet, but better safe than sorry (also it doesn't do it as much as I've got all my programs set).
Well viruses rarly get into my comp, i think they're scared because i usually track the ip that sent it and use VCK to teach those B**** s a lesson, So Zonealarm wouldnt be too good , i had before and just left comp without it on, much quietier
