doesn't sound like anything to do with a firewall, maybe a graphics update might do the trick, and if its a TFT try using the dvi leads instead of the d-sub leads if your card supports it

off the top of my head... right click my computer>>properties>> then go to the advanced tab(not using windows XP i might be slightly off) and look aroundshould eb a thing which notes two OSes, look for an edit option or something like that, set delay to 0 and edit out the line on that which you don't want. Save the file; be careful not to fvck up(it's hard to if you use common sense though)

sounds like driverwise the monitor isn't supported, might be wrong kinda tired...

best firewall is a hardware firewall... do some research, I don't even really f' with firewals myself

I used zonealarm free, but I upgraded to zonealarm pro. It does its job, and my only complaint is the number of times it asks you to allow programs to access the internet, but better safe than sorry (also it doesn't do it as much as I've got all my programs set).
