Anyways now i'm back like you guys told me so can somone give me a good build for it. I would prefer if you use www.ncix.com or any other canadian shipping company. Thanks for the help :shaggy:

Holy ----... you'd be wasting your money spending 3500 on a gaming computer.. You can build a great gaming computer for like $1500 give or take, any more would kind of be overkill and useless, IMO.

3500CAD = ~2,970 USD depending on what bank you convert it through.

Still... you could build a great one for like $1500 Canadian, maybe $1700 max. Any more would be useless, and would provide you no more performance than a $1500 one.

    hmm, core 2 duo e'6500?
    nice like $250 asus motherboard
    2 (3?) gb ddr2 800 g.skill ram (maybe ddr2 1000, but that is stupid, way overpriced.)
    x1900xt?
like 500gb, with a 36 gb raptor for OS (hard drive).

you need a monitor too? like 20"? You'd be set for awhile with a build going on these plans.

as far as i know, there is no such thing as an e6600

what I would get w/ that budget

    e6600
2GB DDR2-800 G. Skill ES(black, and it OCs like made same micron used in DDR2-1066)
x1900XT(single one should be fine if nto add a second for Xfire, might need an auxilery PSU for 2)
silverstone PSU(the one w/ 38 AMPs on the 12V rail)
    ASUS OMFG 250$ motherboard...
some h20/peltier system for cooling - tuniq tower 120 if air is prefered

    harddrive solution:
at your price range, look into buying a raid adapter. put 4+ 320GB seagate PRM baracudas in raid5. Space shouldn't be an issue but if it turns out to be, just buy another drive or two when the time comes.

yeh, pretty much take all that(sorry too tired to find links, someone can dig them up) give ro take and tweek as needed

You mean there is no such thing as a E6500? There is no E6500, only E6300,6400,6600,6700 and 6800xtreme.

And for xfire you wont need a better PSU, you probably meant crossfire... man you must be really tired :P The Antec 550watt, has ~ 55amps on the v12 rail, should be good enough for all your needs.

I'd say get the E6600, asus p5w deluxe, gskill ddr2 800 kit(black as xelink said, they'll go up to ddr2 1000+), x1900xt, case that you like...

You might want to consider waiting a half year for kentsfield(quad core conroe) and direct x 10,... I'm not sure if its good enough to wait for but ok..

I don't knwo a ton about RAID controllers, but look into RAID 0+1... it is esentialyl the two combined and offers both excellent data securaity and speed.
