okay well bout 10mins ago i was playing dod, then my comp like froze and my monitor went into powersaving mode, now i reset it and nothing is working, i try to open a program and it says windows cant open this file, i cant system restore cuz it just wont open up in a new window, i can access control panel, but when i go to a task like windows firewall, it doesnt open up, does this mean i may have a virus?

I think it is yes, if you're computer is to much f-ck3D up, then you'll have to reinstall. Try to boot in safemode and run anti virus/spyware software (kaspersky/ad-aware) It will probably delete the virus but not fix your windows so you'll have to reinstall. If you're not sure your computer is virus free, then you also have to reformat, so you'll loose all your files...

restart computer keep pressing f8 untill u get this window, it will say something like '' restore computer to last known ... '' try that, if that does work, restart do same thing exept click on ''safe mode'' then it will enter into windows and try do system restore from there.

**edit: It doesnt mean u have virus, it most likely coused by short power loss and some of the important files lost.**

thanks for that, but my antivirus by norton expired, so it wont let me use it, and i cant access the security center in the control panel, doesnt popup at all, and to disable system restore, it wont open the properties menu, i right clicked and w.e but i never poped up, so basically all these options dont open up

Are you able to go into safemode? And if so, can you run your .exe files from it?

Yeah dude, it's very important to have a reinstalation disk, I wouldn't buy a comp without one ;), can you borrow a disk from anyone, to run a repair install?

Use AVG in safe mode. If that doesn't work, reformat.
