I was going to start a website here soon, and was wandering if I may use some of the renders that people make?

I will leave their copyright names on the images too, I promise.

i think these renders people "make" are just cut outs. how can they have a copy right of an image they didnt originally create?

But that would be bad to steal someone's work. They did cut the render and put effort into it.

you can use anyone's renders as long as they are displayed as free in the render forums. It wouldn't hurt to send someone credits for their hard work though just to let them know you appreciate it.

You can use them in a piece of work, yes. Not to post them on your personal site without permission from the renderer.

The arguement regarding asking for permission has been done before, time and time again. Its true the only thing they have done is 'cut out' the picture - but if thats not so hard, how come you have to use someone elses render? ;)
