Hey, I'm having a little problem with my iPod. It's a 30GB video I think and whenever I try to turn it on, there's a little folder with an exclamation point by it, plus the website for iPod support.

    -This happened two weeks ago:
I went onto that website, read EVERY single article on how to fix the problem, and some of them did work. I fixed it and lived.. happily ever after?

Now enter about 4-5 days ago. It starts to happen again. I charged it, no luck. I went back onto the support website, no luck. So I just gave up. I figured it would go away the next day, so I wait.. try to turn it on, STILL not working!

STILL NO HELP FROM THE SUPPORT WEBSITE! So I just gave up AGAIN. But I'm itching to hear some music on my iPod once and for all.

So 2 days before this one I get it to turn on. Yess! Only another problem comes up. I access the playlist I wanted, and the iPod just skipped through all the songs!

    "1 of 62"
*Didn't hear any music coming out*
    *Split second later*
    "2 of 62"
*Still didn't hear any music coming out*
    *Split second later*
    "3 of 62"

    You get the picture.

Can anybody help? I'm just trying to listen to music without having to deal with a folder with an exclamation point, or a picture of a sad iPod. I'm THIS close to restoring it.

You may have already tried this but use the ipod updater to restore your Ipod to original settings.

I take it the songs it skipped were songs you purchased from the music store? This happens to me all the time. The iPod becomes corrupt and doesn't let you play the AACs because they are protected. What is happening, or so I think, is that the iPod is telling the AACs that it's not a player that is able to play them so it just skips through the songs. I have heard that you need to restore the iPod to work. I usually just plug the iPod into the computer and just update it and it works. Damn Apple product. <_<
