Eversince installing a SONY DVD-RW DW-Q28A, I have been having trouble running games from CD.
I have had to re-install Half-Life 2 (has worked in the past) but this time wont run from CD.
Generals running in the past, installed ok but wont run from CD.

Just bought a cheap game to test, Installed ok when you try to run exits to the desktop.

I've also got a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-106D in the PC, still same results.
Tried a third DVD-Rom drive & exatly the same.

    Any suggestions??

If it is doing it for all of the drives, it is probably a problem with the connectors on your Motherboard. Check them to see if there is any obvious sign of damage.. like if it looks bent or something. And if you have any extra connectors (IDE I think they're called... or is that for harddrives.. anyhoo) try plugging it into that, and see what happens.

IDE is the old format for HDDs, not sure what they're called, but I'd double check connections/drivers...
