alight i decied im going to buy me a water cooling kit but i need to know which one i only want to cool my processor my current temps on stock non overclocked is 45 idle the jumps to 60 while playing games i even will be considing overclocking my poor 3400+ once i get water cooled my s type is 754 ive been looking at this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835106063
I love Thermaltake watercoolers. But I would take a look at these other watercooling kits. http://www.xoxide.com/watcoolkit.html. And it's on sale compared to the $124.99 from NewEgg. Xoxide is selling it for $97.99. Even that I think I deserve a rep for that saving you some money. J/K. But I myself have the Thermaltake BigWater 745 Liquid Cooling System - 3 120mm Radiators, with the extra radiators. I keep my system on 24/7 and it really helps out prolong the life of my CPU. K, not to be like mean or anything, but why the hell are you wanting to super cool your system that has fine temps? You just bought/are buying a spare computer for your mom/dad's house or w/e. why not use this money to better use on something you need? You could easily use this $80ish for a better processor/whatever.
really i have a s754 3400+ last time i checked newegg thats the best they have for 754 unless theres another site
alright i have a amd socket 754 i found a 3700+ but by looking at the specs i dont see much diffenece between the 3400 and the 3700 there the same . besides im going to build a am2 computer next summer
most enthusiasts find that for superior cooling they are mroe ro less required to build their own cooling system, preferably from copper components. a small radiator much like the one used in cars is prefered and it is more powerful than those supplied in kits and i heat cheaper as well... the downside again though is the sheer amount of time required and the possibility of a leak. I am myself a semi-lazy person and would never consider getting a proper h20 system. if you really want to do it right check on [H]ard
dont just wait the 6 months for K8L, even if you get the AM2 socket mobo you still wont get all of the features of K8L
the 3700+ you are rerfering to is likely 939, they run at the same clock speed and have the same amount fo l2 cache... the IMC on the 939 proc allows it to run memory in dual channel though and it also runs with an HTT of 2000 insteed of s754s 1600 realworld performance diference between the two is between 5-10%it's not that big a deal. Tell em if you notice the diference between 100FPS and 105... also, if you are nto OCing, there is no reason for water cooling, look into the tuniq tower if you want a serious cold on air with fewer hassles(you'll need a large case though)
