Before I start let me say that experiencing this epic film in amazing sound at 10pm at night in a theater full of packed fans and moviegoers, I already knew this movie is going be a huge hit. The theater was sold out of tickets when my friends and I walked in at 9pm. They of course broke up the screening into 2-3 theaters to sell more tickets. Now picture that they had 2-3 entire screening areas FILLED with people. There were people wearing shirts with the iconic "S" and on top of that I even saw some guys joking around with the whole costume of superman including the cape running around yelling "SUPERMAN!" Once I got a soda and popcorn, and we walked into the area for our screening our jaws dropped. It was only 9:15pm now and the entire theater we were in was practically FILLED. Basically I loved going to this 10pm premiere for it was the first time I ever did so. On to the review!

    Overview:
After a 5 year journey to find the supposed remains of his home planet Krypton, Superman (played by newcomer Brandon Routh) Returns to a changed world. The world has almost forgotten him, Lois Lane (played by Kate Bosworth) has appeared to have moved on with her life and now has a husband (played by ex. Scott Summers, James Marsden) and a son who seems to have a very special "gift". Superman Returns to the spotlight in an amazing fashion by saving a Boeing 777 from absolute destruction. He is welcomed with cheers and soon turns up on every news station globally and the world couldn't be happier. All the while Lex Luthor (played PERFECTLY by Kevin Spacey) has gotten himself out of jail and swindled an old dying lady out of her billions and her amazing Yacht as she lays on her death bed. He uses this amazing Yacht for his HQ for most of the film. Lex's plan is to use the crystals from the fortress of solitude to bring about an event that will completely change the landscape of the eastern coast of the United States.

    Personal Comments:
The special effects, imagery, foreshadowing, story, and even the camera were all done extremely well and made you feel like you were a part of the film. The flight scenes were absolutely breathtaking for at times you felt like you were moving as fast as Superman was. Although this was a perfect mix between an action film and a love story, it lived up to my high expectations. It dragged at points but it didn't drag too badly. Bryan Singer being the master of film that he is dropped many hints at who might be added to the franchise as a major role in the unavoidable sequel. I absolutely loved the film, its for superman and non superman fans alike, if you don't enjoy this movie you don't enjoy film. On another note, I thought using modern technology to bring Marlon Brando BACK as Jor-El tells me something about this franchise and its director. Only Bryan Singer could have done such an amazing job on this film while staying true to the original masterpieces starring the late Christopher Reeve.

10/10, there is no way you could give it any less. Its an amazing film and most definitely the summer blockbuster of the year though as you should see in the previews a certain neighborhood friend returns to steal the summer next year ;). This is a movie I recommend to EVERYONE as you all will love it for one reason or another. This is by far the best movie of the summer and the year in my opinion.

Well, I saw this today, and it was a GREAT MOVIE

But I wouldnt give it a ten, maybe a nine, none less though, but NOT a ten, there were a few flaws in my opinion.

I think one REALLY weird thing...is that I think the graphics in the opening credits were better than the graphics in the rest of the movie

Another thing about this movie that was great: The grunge-style video WASNT USED!! That grungy movie styled is getting a whored and people are plowing that whore like theres not tomorrow :/

Definatly a breath of fresh air in the movie industries!

Look man, people who say bad stuff about the movies are sometimes people who don't let themselves believe in the experience. If you walk into a movie like superman with all its cool effects and what not. But you don't believe in the experience you will basically sit there and say in Real life that couldnt happen blah blah blah. My point is if you can let yourself get past the fact that most of this stuff in these movies could never happen you will enjoy it. Also even critics gav eit amazing reviews so it must be good.

I'd give it a 7/10, it was good, but my expectations I think were a bit high. Although they are showing it in IMAX theaters, so I'm sure watching it like that would be mind-blowing.

There's no better then Christopher Reeve. I'm not really in the mood to type a whole review but I give it a 10/10 I loved the movie, I never said "This part is boring" or "Yeah it had some boring parts of the movie"

All of it was entertaining... every moment was indeed very, very, very, very good.

    Movie of the year/10
