Well i have two hard drives on my computer and one of them is 30Gb and the other is 250Gb, anyways the C drive is on the 30Gb hard drive which is really annoying. Because all of my games get installed to the C drive (30Gb) and its running out of space. I was wondering if i could just copy and paste the stuff from one to the other and rename it HDD, although my only concern is that it might do something to the windows files. Also i was wondering if there is a type of software that could do it safely for me?

While im on the topic of computers, is there any other disk defragmenters that i can download? Because im just using the box standard Windows one and its not that great. Thanks to anyone who can help me out :)

There is a way to put your files on the big one without losing anything, then you could switch the hard drives around so everything goes on the big one automatically.

Keep important stuff on small one.

I'm not sure how to copy it as i normally work with laptops but someone will comealong soon, i hope my info will help too. ;)

just select to install everything on the 250GB drive, you know they typically give you an option...

also, it'sreally easy to set my documents to any location you want....

The one with the program files and windows on is my small one. I know i can install the games to the larger drive but its just annoying. More of a convenience than an essential. Dont worry, ill just do it the manual instal way :)

    Thanks anyways.

Copy all the files you want into the big one, as the small will be good for all your important stuff.

I can't think of how you can transfer it all over.

    Sorry. :(

How many games could you have on one hard drive that is filling up 30 GB? Empty out you Documents, send everything to your extra hard drive. Go empty out your Temp folder (go download CCleaner to get rid of useless temp files). Move all music/movies to your extra hard drive.

You can't just copy and paste your Program Files directory to your extra hard drive. If you try and run things from D:\Program Files instead of C:\Program Files, none of the registry files will work for the programs.
