It takes aproximently 2 minutes of speaking on a cellular phone for the radiation to cross the protective Blood Brain Barrier. So when ever there is a land line available use it in preference to your cell. I saw this article posted somewhere so I thought I would share it, it would bring about an interesting discussion topic.

How Two Russian Journalists Cooked an Egg with their Mobile Phones
Vladimir Lagovski and Andrei Moiseynko from Komsomolskaya Pravda Newspaper in Moscow decided to learn first-hand how harmful cell phones are. There is no magic in cooking with your cell phone. The secret is in the radio waves that the cell phone radiates.

The journalists created a simple microwave structure as shown in the picture. They called from one cell phone to the other and left both phones on talking mode. They placed a tape recorder next to phones to imitate sounds of speaking so the phones would stay on.

After, 15 minutes: The egg became slightly warm.
25 minutes: The egg became very warm.
40 minutes: The egg became very hot.
65 minutes: The egg was cooked.

    * Conclusion ..1: Cooking eggs with mobile phones is possible but very expensive ($4.55 or 123 Rubles)
    * Conclusion ..2: All this talk of danger is exaggerated; even if your brain gets cooked, it would take a couple hours of talking on a cell phone.
    * Conclusion ..3: We dont recommend carrying cell phone in your pants.

    Quite.

In my school we did a test on how much radiation the phone gives out.. It was pretty much nothing, we also dialed it and rang out from it, it is the same level of radiation as Background radiation, and that is very small, so it was either heat, or its a fake.

and I mean, you blatently can't trust those guys, just look at them!

Newer cell phones give off significantly less radiation than older phones. The phones they have in the picture are a bit older than the newest ones, by about a year I'd guess. But even so, I don't believe that article whatsoever. 65 minutes of phone time won't cook an egg at all, I've talked on a cell phone for a good 6 hours straight before (yeah, I was whipped like hell :P ) and absolutely nothing happened from it.

Lmao, nice pic. Well, not quite sure how old the article is but I know different phones give off different amounts of radiation so that might play a role into it.. interest points brought up though. :P
