Ya gmax is legal you just have to regeist on the tubrosquid (free) site and they give you a key. It completely legal and free[U/] and made by the makes of 3DS Max for like modding games and making maps and stuff like that for pc games Like for Halo PC (updatable veresion is Halo CE, so user could make custom maps). But it will also make absract art for sig. So ya

Gmax was specially made by distreet for gamers and art student and ever day comp uses who can't afford the big pro-programs.

well i got go do my school work so if you don't believe me than check for your self http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax :P
P.S. Sorry for being so redonedent and don't critisize me on my spelling i had to tpye this up in a hurry.

Oh and regiester for this program is worth it all though it doesn't take much to type in a few words.

Gmax is a stripped down version of 3dsmax, not compatible with MOST 3dsmax programs. Also, it has a restricted export format, you need a wahck of converters to get this to work. My advice is to learn Gmax before you grab a trial version of 3dsmax to make the most of your 30-day period. More info @ www.discreet.com.

EDIT: And about Halo PC and CE: To mod those, you need 3dsmax not Gmax. And whenever someone mentions Halo CE... :censored: :censored: :censored: I used to be really good @ Halo, then Gearbox messed up Halo CE (where all the pros used to play) and nobody plays there anymore. And all the nubs are on Halo PC. Plus, Halo PC / CE is now dial-up friendly, which means that it's laggy. POO!
