    Hi,

I have a folder I want to rename, but it is write-protected in its options (I dont even know why, i never selected that). I already unchecked the option and did that for this folder and tried selecting "do it for all subfolders...". But when i click on accept and OK, I still cant rename and see the option "write-protection" checked again (sorry if i call it wrong, only have the German version of Windows XP).

What can I do? i tried everything I know. I cant delete the folder, cant rename and nothing else :( Any tip?

Copy all the stuff inside the folder to a new folder called what ever you want it to be called. only realy a solution if it doesnt happen to other folders like.

already tried copying them over to a new folder... its not related to the content. the new folder wasnt write-protected, but the old one could still not be renamed.

Why don't you just make a new folder, name it what you want, and move all the files into it? And just simply delete the old one?

If a folder is being stubborn them download a program called killbox and simply find the folder and go to delete on reboot. and its gone :) hope it helps. just google killbox.
