This has been posted before okay, but since people don't know how to search and I know how to do this anyways, do this: Code: 1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
the fasrerfox extension does all this crap and then some. Also as you implemented it, it puts a harder load on servers.... and to the person above, iit is automatically saved.
An extension to do all this for me you say? Also is there any negative effects to this or everyone would do it?
No, nothing bad. It basically just makes it so that Firefox will send the signal faster when you type in a URL, and load stuff faster because it uses more CPU Usage.
It puts more load on the servers, which will in turn raise the prices on those, and then it will do the same for a lot of other things. It's a ripple effect.
Hey AKW, doesnt the FasterFox extension do the same thing plus more? I used this method in the past and it worked great. But it seems that FasterFox does these edits for you. FasterFox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/ Edit: And I didnt even notice Xlink's post in here. So yes, im sorry i posted the same thing over again.
Yes, but this wasn't made for me. I just knew this from around a year ago. I use Opera. This was to keep people out of that thread.
this works <a href=\'https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/\' target=\'_blank\'>https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/</a>
