    Except that in Europe:

The government taxes the gas like crazy. (if you took away taxes, Europeans generally spend the same amount of money per barrel as the U.S.)

Europeans don't drive as much as we do, nor do they have pick-up trucks or mustangs all over the road.

Europeans have much, much better public transportation systems, not to mention people there aren't afraid to use them.

ACtually pure electric cars were made in the early 21st century, but were destroyed by the government, only a low 2% last or something like that, watch the documentary "Who killed the Electric Car?"

The Earth can and will heal itself, its just a matter of time. No more gas in the earth is probably (I don't know for fact) not a good thing, we've taken so much from the ground.

I dunno, I only did good on tests in geography test, thank god i had an ex-professor.

Thats the wierd thing....did you know that fossil fuels have actually been regenerating in a sense. Oil fields that were once sucked dry have started to fill back up slowly with oil.

That's because fossil fuel is made from dead things that are heated and presured. So if you get a place such as Calgary, Alberta (Which used to be a reef [which is dead fish and exoskeletons of other dead creature]), or the Middle East (known to be where life started) are filled with it.

    Dead Things + Heat + Pressure + Time = Oil = $$

They've been doin more research. Apparently, many scientists believe that crude oil isn't even truly a "fossil" fuel. They believe that it is really something else.

    Meh.

I'll create the greatest gas powered car in the world.

Its a tube thats in the bottom of you seat, and takes your own true methane gas and uses it to power the car.

    Very cheap.

I don't understand what it possibly could be besides decomposed organisms.

Pool of water -> bunch of fish -> water drains -> fish die -> fish decompose -> various weather effects push fish goo further down into the earth -> repeat -> repeat -> oil rig comes along and puts pipe down in earth -> fumes from fish goo becomes natural gas -> pipe goes further -> fish goo becomes crude oil -> crude oil is distributed into oil, gasoline, and some other various materials that I can't remember.

*sigh* Please stop refering to yourself as Canadian you're just embarassing yourself. And the USA really isn't screwed without use, they produce about 40% of their oil domestically, Canada exports about 20% of the oil used in the USA, Alberta represents about 25% of the total Canadian crude production. If Canada decided to stop exporting they'd likely pick up the pace of the drilling in Alaska, it's not like their dependant on us at all. We're FAR more dependant on the USA than they are on us.

Natural gas is achieved after they cook the crude oil.

Why do alot of people moan and cry about the prices of oil going up? The oil is just running out, America has almost no natural oil, Iraq has tons but dam mis guided bombers keep blowing it up

    By 2016, It'll be about £160 A barrel (That about 200$)

Heck, by time im old enough to drive, It'll cost more for a month of gas than the car itself
