Haha yeah, my friend made a topic about it when it was still going on...got like 13 pages long in 10 minutes before it got closed.
^ the brushpack he was selling, he collected hundreds of sets of brushes and packed them up organized and shizz then he sold them for creds and made a fortune..... only problem was he didnt have permisson to re distribute them (the brush sets) im sure there was more too it but that was what seems like ages ago i cant remember it fully.
I remember seeing so many thread about Counter strike source and counter strike 1.6 There use to be soo many people selling these things.
You also forgot the mention that you were in DE during that time  Yeah, I remember the good old days, I actually liked that time because originality really was a factor in making a good tag (since the only real methods were just using brushes) and that the best ones were really just pretty manips (MT owned all the time, same with miller, blood and DarkMirage) Overall, I think that the SOTWs were my favorite memory though. Since there weren't any other real big GFX sites back in the day (only NSL and SOTW) people mainly just stayed in one of the three sites. I also remember that people actually went and based their work off of each week's SOTW, and how active it was...
i loved it in summer last year (summer 05) i would always sign on...comment on peoples work and everyone got along. there was not even an asshole(maybe 1 but he still knows wat lines not to cross) i remeber when the average sig was 100 creds for fullrights and full rights just means learning from it and no one else can P) i remeber everyone made simple brush sigs, colorbalance, *render*, and lasso feather it to blend it in i can type more
Oh man so many memories of the old days. Before the fan tags, and the shops. Back before G-70, and when Nedstar was still around. How could I forget when everyone was learning how to make a grunge sig from SD-Dark's grunge tutorials. Oh man, my tutorial on how to make AVs using flash. Haha, people making renders with an off color background like bright green, they had no idea what png was for. There was some good times here.
