Well, this is the first time I've ever encountered freezing problems on this computer. What happens is that when I'm in the middle of the game, it just randomly freezes at one point, i cant do anything, not even pushing the manual restart on my hard drive! I have to shut it down from the power!

It mostly occurs in Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic . But it also happens in Guild Wars, but not as often....

    Here's my CPU Stats:

    Microsoft Windows XP Professional 2002
    AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3400+
    2.20 Ghz
    512 Mb of Ram
    ATI Radeon 9800 128mb

    ---------
If anyone can help me reduce my freezing problem i will be MOST grateful ^_^

It might be something running in the background or video card drivers not functioning?

It could be a heat problem. Does your computer heat up like crazy? Are you in a room with sufficient cooling?

Hmm, i don't understand - my driver's are up to date - i checked to see if my memory was low - i had 85% available xD - all my programs in the background were closed. Literally EVERYTHING - and no my computer dosen't heat up like crazy... though at some times (really random) the fan decides to go loud on my ass.

a possible culprit is the power supply, what brand is it, and what are the rated Amps on the 12V rail?

out of curiousity, is that a 939 a64 3400+ or a 754? both have the same clock speed
