Overview: So basically a new adventure for the three, Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swan. This time they have to duke it out with none other Davy Jones of the Flying Dutchman. With suprises every turn of the movie who knows whats going to happen next. Pros: Ok so with new technology coming out everyday, new ways of telling a story can become a simple task. The cinemotography in this movie was outstanding. The highly detailed face of Davy Jones was so clear I could see myself there. Including his minions, they too were also highly detailed and very smooth in animations. Another great aspect of this movie was that had the actors interacting with the enivornment instead of just watching around talking. During sword fights, you would see the actors on a water wheel, from a water mill, that was rolling so you would have one actor running forwards and one backwards while fighting. Cons: One of the things that bugged me was that the director want to do something like a Pulp Fiction style of story telling. He had many things going on at once, but it didn't come down to one thing well. He would have Jack going on off on his own thing while Will was doing something else and same for Elizabeth. Too many things going on at once to understand the story. Ok since its a pirate movie, you're going to get pirate talk. Now I understand what some of the words mean, like aye and such. But sometimes...it sounded like they were saying jibberish...sounded like this:...asdfajlfzjfbsjkfbhzjkafvjzsdvavfafv... Also...later in the movie it seems like they go to Jamaica or something around that area, but there is a woman that had the thickest accent I've heard. Now I picked up on some words and was able to put 1 and 1 together to make 2 but it was really thick. Also, it is very long...enough said. overall, don't see this movie unless you are a pirate lover or a Johnny Deep/Keira Knightly/Orlando Bloom fan. It wasn't that great 6/10
It was much better than a 6/10. It was also a very good movie, yes confusing, but after talking about it you start to realize what happened. If you liked the 1st one go see it. If you didn't see the 1st one, go see the 1st and if you like it go see the 2nd one. But of course, if you didn't like the 1st one don't see the 2nd one, obviously. My rating, 9/10
Yah totally agree, you beat me to the review Creesco and IMO your opinion is unjust. I understood most of what they were sayigne xcept most of the island talk. I think it was better then the first....
Well I can't argue with your opinion versus my opinion, but when you compare this movie's complexity to a movie like Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind. Pirates is like cheese. But yes, after talking about it with my friend's it start to make sense but it still shouldn't have made me stop to think what is going on. I found myself asking who is doing what instead of what is going to happen. But like Halo 2, it had a crappy ending so I have to see the third on like I have to get H3. So I still stand strong to my 6/10 opinion.

Yah all those scenes where you thought someone was gunna die I laguhed to myself because they agreed for 2 sequels meaning that they can't die in the 2nd version only the final 3rd one
The ending of the movie was PERFECT. Now it makes the 3rd movie have a GREAT beginning. I also heard that the 3rd movie is done, they worked on 2 & 3 at same time or something. This is turning into a 'Lord of the Rings' Trilogy, but PotC is much much better. But this movie is a 9.5/10.
Did not like the ending, the voodoo lady with the heavy accent was not understandable, and I could tell that the guy who likes apples would come down the stairs. There was no real base for the ending, just looks like they needed to finish quickly and so made that. One very good reason to see the movie is because that Keira Knightly is very hot. I think we can all agree on that last statement.
I've seen many trailers and all, and it seems a very nice movie, I'm definitely going to watch it soon
There is one coming out next year. Pirates of the Caribbean: World's End I believe is what they calling it.
